Hi guys, bit of a newb when it come to working on my bus but willing to learn.

First job is to change the fuel lines, I tried a search but can't find a how to, is it as simple as just replacing the lines as you see them? Also can someone supply a link to the goto kit.

Thanks.

Thanks for that much appreciated.

Is it just a case of cutting and swapping with what can be seen?

Yes, that’s pretty much it. New hose and new clips, and use fuel pipe clips as opposed to some of the more generic pipe clamps like jubilee clips. There’s also several schools of thought on fuel filters. Some have a complete tit fit if you have it in the engine bay and tell everyone that they’ll go to hell and all their offspring will catch the plague unless they fit it it up by the gearbox and out of the noisy cupboard , some say that they get forgotten there or not spotted by different owners and or their mechanics, others will say fit a plastic one , some will say fit one where you can easily see it and replace it every year or you could possibly fit one a little more expensive and replace or clean every now and then. The issue is modern fuel with its higher ethanol content, just loves to eat some rubbers, and this includes fuel pipes and rubber gaskets in pumps and filters etc. Also have a look down your air intakes at the rear and check out your tank venting system and these changed quite a lot during production years and sometimes a couple of times a year. The vents are usually long lengths of metal pipes but the bends and connections including Tees are usually flexible and braided fuel pipe and these are as prone to fuel rot as everything else in the fuel system. Two last things to change / check are the fuel filler pipe and fuel cap gasket.
That should keep you busy for the rest of the morning

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,, and all of these are a must and not a maybe

Thanks Ozziedog for that! Really helpful.

Also found this thread which gives good advice http://forum.earlybay.com/viewtopic.php?t=9694&sid=4699fc72efc0f96b940ec85478d01638

Shall give it a go!

So, managed to do it. All pretty straightforward, although i decided to drain the tank and lost quite a bit of petrol, (must be quicker next time!), and found the fuel line clamps under the bus a bit awkward to get to but all changed and the van starts!
