Full Flow or not to Full flow

Hi All

In 2 minds whether to seriously look into a Full flow system, the SC has an external oil cooler with remote filter thats been plumbed into the cooler, this was installed by the previous owner which was I presume used for A previous engine setup but now sitting on the vehicle not doing anything.

So the question really is what's involved in getting these components hooked up to the current type 1 single port , and is it really worth it?

Answer is simple. Is it a stock motor? Will you be revving above 4500rpm?

If yes you will need a deep sump and as the oil flow will be too fast and on the wrong side of the pump (pumps push not draw well) full flow is the only way to go. It's why all the quick cars at the pod run them. It's why VW did it for the T4 engine and why you can't buy a car today without a remote oil can.

If it's stock put it back to stock! Those remote oil coolers plumbed into the oil cooler make the van run hotter than stock. It's amazing how places like the American desert and egypt are full of happy cool aircooled VW's but here in cold blighty we **** around with the stock cooling for no reason.

Either way remove the aftermarket adapter and return the doghouse to stock and shell run nice.

The SC has a deep sump and twin kardrons fitted, as for the cc size I've no idea, I'm guessing 1641,but thanks for the advice, so just to confirm, would it be worth putting a full flow in without the oil cooler?
