Evening.
Long story short ive got petrol fumes in the tank area.
1970 van.
Can I assume I have a problem that needs sorting before the van goes back on the road for the summer?

Cheers

Cheers :?
I assume theres breather pipes at fault or rubber section from the filler neck.
Does the tank have to be fully removed (hoping the tank isnt at fault) or are all rubber sections accessible with just the removal of the tank rear bulkhead?
Im not being lazy here its more of a spare time with my van issue.

Cheers

Engine and tank came out last week and sent the tank off for a pressure test.
Picked the tank up today and it got the all clear  .
Got all new pipes.
Just got to put it all back together again now.
Looks like it was the dodgy fuel cap after all that :?
Better safe than sorry I guess.

Ive got a metre of the stuff (Gates fuel hose) and only using about 6 or 7 inches of it :?
If you want some pm me.
It came from bedford battery in bedford.
