My garage has so much condensation my bus might as well be outside on the pouring rain. The floor is wet where it's dripping off the roof which is soaked also.
How can I reduce this? I need to do something as everything's getting trashed. This is the 1st winter since garage has been built. It's a concrete prefab garage with corrugated bitumen fibre roof.

It's quite a big garage so not sure dehumidifier would cut it to be honest + i havent got permanent electric in there yet. It's got 2 vent windows ill open them up see if that helps.
Thinking maybe insulating the walls?

if your garage is secure try leaving bus windows open and sliding door , also if you haven"t already, remove the soft furniture interior ,is the garage interior itself dripping like, from ceiling ?

What sort of floor do you have in there ?? Thinking out loud,, it`s not really that cold to create a lot of condensation at the moment, on the other hand if you have excessive moisture in there then it`s got to go somewhere. I mopped up a load of water off my floor about two weekends ago after bringing my bus in during what was a bit of a monsoon  The mop is still sopping wet now even after being in my dry garage for two weeks or even more  If there is the tiniest bit of moisture in the garage at the moment it just can`t dry out it would seem because everything is so bloody wet including moisture laden air. De humidifying will work but only as long as there is no penetration (oohh err) of fresh moisture . If you don`t have a moisture barrier under your concrete base ,, then you may well be wasting your time as the ground is absolutely sodden

What for more rain? you speak as if our summers are dry
hope you had a good christmas Ozzie ;)

The bus hasn't got any windows in at the mo but its not dripping from the ceiling of the bus anyway. The concrete base has got a damp proof membrane so it's not rising damp. Maybe some of the moisture has dripped off my bike, tools, jacket etc and not then not dried. I've been doing a lot of plastering and have left tools drying off in there. If it ever stops raining I might roll the bus out give the garage floor a mop and dry off then see what happens.

you could get some kerosine heaters in there to dry the air. My garage has a problem when it rains as the back wall is lower than the groudn above so water just pours in. I put these heaters in cheap enough to run and it worked out ok

I get asked this a lot as im a roofer. The only real way to get over this is to insulate the roof. The bitumen sheets are also know to leak if not laid properly and joints not sealed
Want to asked anything pm me and will be happy to answer any questions in more detail
