OK the bay is coming back from a spray and I want it inside so will lower a bit but also will need the garage door adjusting. Anyone got any ideas of whether this is feasible.... I'll need to take an outside shot also but for starters....

thinking about making them myself, just got to price the timber and hardware up

My father in law knocked them up and I helped fit them (Apprentice :lol: ). I think the wood cost about £200 and £60ish for the ironmongery. I try to dig out the details.

Like it looks a very professional job imaine the lintel weighs a ton!!.

On mine I'd be resticted by the plastic fascia gladding stuff you can see on the outside picture I've posted, that said the underside of that measures 2.2m so the bus would go under that, there is a slighstep up into the garage so taking that into account I could adjust the lintel and get some doors made to measure.

Any ideas on cost etc whether mine looks a goer, worred about the roof of the house also do I need planning??

def not :wink:

but i have to reverse it in so the up and over door clears the pop top roof edge, internal door handle fouls the roof if i drive it in front first

Any pics how do you take the lintel out without imapcting the roof, prop it but then how do you lift it??

Another pics of the inside of the roof etc. guess I need to pick the brains of a builder....

use two acrow props with a plank to suport the roof on the inside,dont lift roof!
then knock the blocks off ,the wall plate should stay put,take bricks off
lift the lintel up to the wall plate rebuild under the lintel inside and out, remove the props next
day :wink:

cheers rich
