Hi,

I've got two bay window gearboxes:
- CA 090 2938
- CE 112 0497

The CE prefix box is the correct box for our 71 - and the CA prefix box is obviously from an early bay (68?).

But, is there any difference between the ratio's used in these boxes?

Thanks,

Mike

The CA is post 68 , the final drive set up is different, the spare CA I have came off a 71. I think the 68 was CO coded.

The CE I believe was 73> and should have the mountings on the bell housing

 I was wrong on both counts!!!

Regarding the final drive, is either of the two boxes better/worth keeping as one of the these will be included when we sell our 71.

Cheers,

Mike

I believe theres no difference in the ratios the CE will be easier to sell on seperately as you'll have a bigger market i.e. earlies crossovers and lates>75 since the bell housing has the mountings on them (75 had a one year only).
