gearbox mount ?

hi i'm thinking of fitting a gearbox mount to my 69 as i have nippy engine and think it could only be a benefit, but which one ? 1600 gearbox

I assume you are referring to the bellhousing? in which case I believe you will want a 1600 box as 2000 boxes have a deeper bellhousing & require a longer starter motor etc

yep bell housing , i do have a stock 1600 gearbox , its just when i'm nailing it of the line at santa pod and the only thing holding every thing in is the engine mount and the nose cone mount , i used to have a gearbox mount in a 13sec oval i had and it was ace at stopping the flexing

I'm pretty sure that kombiporsche on here has welded in the gearbox mounting from a later bay into his, there are some pics on here somewhere.
