Hi,

72 crossover has failed the mot on the rear wheelbearings, have googled and read various stories regarding repro bearings being junk, have read skf or *** are the genuine ones fitted when new.

I ordered a set of 4 from vw heritage,2 are genuine but made in brazil.the others are repro.
Does anyone know the sizes of the inner and outers,?ive read that they have a lip or something on?

If i could get the sizes i can order from a bearing factor,so i can strip the old ones and fit the new as i cant really strip and leave the van unmoveable.

i really want to get a set of the pukka items by skf or *** as im tired of fitting parts that arent fit for the job,ie cheap heat exchangers, engine tin etc!
thanks,Steve.

Try here I think the last of the splits are the same as the early bays, but you may need to check on the *** web site before ordering.
