Just picked a very cool A1 Muffler in So Cal last week, plus went to the mooneyes shop, and checked out a few other VW places there. Its VW heaven in Orange County. Cheap parts, great weather, lots of great second-hand parts which are rust free. Missed out on the Pomona swapmeet as I was slightly hungover from the wedding I was out there for!

Bad news I'm afraid. Just had contact from Firetec and Tim's wife has be diagnosed with cancer and as they're a small family company, as you can expect, production has been effected.

So, delivery won't get to me before this weekend's show. I do appologies for the late news, Tim's been busting a gut to keep all the orders rolling, but there's just not been enough time and hands to complete everything.

Once they're with me next week sometime, we can start to organise an alternative distribution.

I'm sure everyone can understand the situation with firetec. I can collect them from you Jim, and I'm sure we can come up with a way of distributing them. I think I have found a suitable courier too, which is cheap.

If they are ready next week, and there is a way of getting them down to me i can take them over to Vanwest next weekend or to Bristol volksfest in June, (Both arn't that far away from me.) for those people going to those shows.

That goes for the people on the SSVC site to.

this just reminded me. 'spoke' to Tim earlier.

Everything is now made, tested and labelled. His wife is coming out of hospital on Saturday, (he thanked everyone for the well wishes), and he's looking to drop the units off at my place on Monday evening as he's in London that day anyway.

Quick update to that. They're now boxed up, and Tim's booking a collection as I type, so delivery to me, will be Thursday.
