I had to replace the flexi brake hoses for the mot and when i was laying on my back under the van I noticed that the right rear hand brake cable was touching the wheel rim.

It is running 4.5J Et39 vauxhall carlton wheels, but i don't think this is much different to stock.

are they just tight on clearance in that area?

it doesn't seem to be a big problem, the cable has an outer rubber protecter,

help! is this impending doom?

by the way, the mot tester didn't mention it - and i could see that the inner rim is cleaner where it rubs!

Mine was doing the same, I couldn't get it to adjust to used a few cable ties to pull it out the way. Worked a treat.
