Hi to everyone. We're celebrating the vans 40th birthday with fish & chips tonight. Just thought I'd add some photos of what we're up to at the moment.
Hopefully it will provide some inspiration as so many of you on here have done for me. Thank you.

End of last summer, all the rot hidden by filler & a really crap paint job

The steps & front valance meant an MOT failure.

Now I'm starting to uncover all the poor repairs from the PO.

I'm now concentrating on the engine bay due to the fact that some numpty re-designed the sealing arrangement which caused an over-heating problem.

Found this under the tank, going to have a go at this the weekend as I believe there are no repair panels available of the strengthening section.

Or maybe it can these be sourced as an off-cut from a dry state import.

Happy Birthday Bus  .
No better way to celebrate than fish n chips

Filler hides a multitude of sins :( (as do po's)

Happy Birthday. :D

We can blame previous owners, but what we have to remember is that back in the late 70/80's when early buses were "old" and worth next to nothing, without a few bodged repairs to get them through MOT's half the UK buses would have been scrap by now. :)
