As this says, has my van been lowered? I know it's on a curb but maybe with a new set of wheels, it may look a million dollors!! Well Maybe!

yes, very mildy lowered. Theres normally a 2-3 inch gap between the standard wheel and arch lip at the front.

have a look under, in the centre of the front beam, can you see the welded in adjusters? they should be facing to the rear of the bus.

no adjusters, but looks like it has been cut n turned.

Can I still weld adjusters in? or is this not good practice on a turned beam...

I'm unsure now as to if the back has been lowered!

I need to get the rear hub nuts off (Two broken breaker bars later!) I'm going to drill em off now and buy new ones. Think it's about time I just put her back on the road, through an MOT and use her.

Maybe next year I'll re-think the lowering bit again!

Mine, stock height but hoooge tyres on -

I'm not too sure you can do anything with a cut and turned beam, maybe someone else can tell you?

For the rear hub nuts,I welded a socket onto a scaffold bar to get mine off! They where seriously tight.

If you print this off onto some card, place it on your beam and mark where the adjusters are then square off with the centre of your bolt ,drill a hole the same size as bolt ,this will put you back to stock height and if you put adjusters on use this hole as your guide
Hope this makes sense

"you may have to blow it up to size"
