Hi all.... i need a pair of cylinder heads for my 1641 twin port, thinking brand new to avoid puttin duff ones on and breaking down an running like a dying donkey.. ( sick of motorway hard shoulders)
..... any thoughts on where to get them.....
..... any thoughts on spec, type to get.....

all advice welcome...... cheers people....!!!!

i heard a seasoned engine builder say that is a pair of heads have 15K miles on them theres slim chance they are gonna fail after that. He was on beetle crisis bulding an engine in the back garden and he always reused the heads on any engine he was building.

That'll be Laurie Pettit

Id say a pair of cleaned up heads of German origin will be way better cast that brand new Brasilian ones. New reseated valves is all you need. :)

agree with the above 8)

give John Maher a call tho he sorts out all my engine bits and is a top bloke. (plus he used to drum for the Buzzcocks!!! 8)
