OK, trying to adjust the beam and raise the ride height on Hank, not lower it.

Have jacked him up under the adjusters and nothing happened so how do I increase the ride height, does the adjuster need to sit lower on the teeth (I would have thought so but how do I get it to do this, push the wheels down :?:

Nothing seems to want to move and before I do any damage I thought I would ask the question.

Anyone around who can help or call me to talk me through this.

Thanks in advance,

if i am thinking right the adjuster needs to go up on the teeth to bring the wheels down from the arches, thus twisting the torsion leaves down.
i would remove the wheels and tyres to take the weight off though if not all ready done as you will find it hard.

NOW SORTED

Thanks to Pete from Air Cooled Tech who rang me and talked me through it, needed to take off the top damper mount to let the arms drop low enough.

Just off to the tyre fitters to put the original tyre size back, will post a pic later when thats done.

Once again thanks go to Pete

No problem, Glad you got it sorted.

sometimes a few words can save hours of frustration.

I had to learn the hard with a lot of my stuff so I know how it feels to get stuck.

Look forward to the pics...

Nice work dude ;)

Not sure I can get him much lower with these tyres on :D :D

Looks and rides better and no more grounding the front out on speedbumps

Dude is that the way you adjusters are now????

Because that looks frightening to me, as the teething is not set properly! You might end up dropping the front end when hitting a bump or pot hole, and then you have tires locked/rubbing the arch, and no steering!

Tipi

No thats how they were when I slackened them off and nothing happened, they are now tightened back up fully so don't worry

:D - I thought that as well tipi! But knowing what graham has had before, I reckoned he'd get 'em right!

That looks like a perfect ride height to me Graham - I want to do the same at some point - keep the original wheels (for now  ) but just lower the van a little bit....

Could you take a few measurements sometime (no rush) - be interested to hear how high the gutter is from the ground (easiest place to measure!) so I can work out how high my van would be with that level of drop....
