AAARGH!

Just been to tyre shop to have larger tyres fitted to get back to decent rolling diameter.

Was rolling 195/50/15 Yokohamas tried to fit 195/70/15 Yokohamas and they wouldn't fit at rear - touched outside rim of wheel arch.

I thought i was only changing the height but apparently not! The larger tyres bulge more on the sides even though they are reinforced van tyres.

PS. This is on my West Midlands Wheels - FUCHS 15'', ET 26, 5.5J

What a pain!

The ET on your wheels doesn't help, standard ET is 38 so your rims stick out a further 12mm before you fit tyres. Don't know why aftermarket rims made for us have such small ETs??

Guess the lower profile tyres you had only just cleared the arches.
