If you plan on doing work yourself then get the bentley manual, well worth the money!

I live near beccles Suffolk.
My situation is that i purchased my bus way up north a few weeks ago (12 hours round trip ) and although has an mot thought id b kind n bring her home to Suffolk on a low load trailer. Spent next couple weeks clearing garage which is its new home. My local garage after seeing pics said don't take her on the salty roads in the winter cos its bodywork is immaculate .
Im desperate to take her out for a drive
my mechanic ... A friend / aquatence is going to give it the going over in the next couple weeks.
After that its down to me so i gotta learn quick

Take it out for a drive and enjoy it! it will be fine....

I've got a John Muirs Keep your VW alive.... and the Bentley Manuel (really worth getting if you can find one), both will serve you well. The tune up/service section in John Muirs is really good, gives you that confidence!

Have fun :D
