How do I remove and fit opening 1/4 light catch?

Will be buying wd40 tomorrow... (Why does the spray power pressure thing never ever work on wd40 spray!??)

Step 1 = soak it in wd40

What else??


Noticed that the catches have a metal rod thing... Does that go through a hole in the glass??? Is there really a little round hole in the glass?

Why do catches have two holes at bottom of them.... Are they screwed somehow onto door frame.. What type of screws are needed?

How do I get these things out safe without breaking glass?.?? What do I need to remove come to think of it...argh!!!

IIRC they are riveted in place and will require drilling.

And they are riveted in, bit of a pain to replace.
