Hi all, ive had a search but couldnt find answer, ive ordererd a set of blingy new cab mats from Mark at Madmatz so i thought id better start on the cab floor
Under the seats i had the thin grey carpet stuff, which i pulled off butit left some fluff behind and large amounts of spray adhesive!
As i am going to atempt to repaint the floor etc with rattle cans then i would like to do the under seat sections too, but scraping still leaves quite alot of glue - any good tips for removing this :?:

Wouldn't swear to it but if you are going to be painting the tubs I think thinners ( and a mask ! ) should do the trick
Let it soak a little , then use a hard plastic scraper followed by a good clean off with thinners on a rag.
Not wishing to teach you to suck eggs but it's highly flammable so be careful around lights, **** etc

automotive spirit wipe about £10 5 ltrs safer than thinners and can be used to degrease most of your bay

yeah im in the process of doing this too, did the passenger side tub on my wedge today, took me over an hour, used some solvent degreaser, then some tar and glue fluid, and thinners, and meths and a scraper, but still didnt get it all off. BUMMER. But i am re-carpet lining it anyway so as long as it is smooth then theres no lumps.

Lol - wot a pain in the jacksey
Tried scraper, wire wheel, sanding, thinners, white spirit, more scraping
Thanks for tips so far, try the wd40 tomorrow then the spirit wipe after that if i can pick some up somewhere!

Then i'll prob end up spraying it with carpet glue to stick the new ones down

Evostick who make a fantatic spray glue also make the remover it's called, wait For it, adhesive cleaner, it's spot on and will lift any sticky stuff like sticker and spray glue

I used white spirit to remove the glue underneath the soundproofing above the engine bay. But noticed that you'd tried this in a later post.

WD40 will give you problems if you end up having to repaint the area in the end!!!!!

Done all mine with thinners!

Poxy job, ive given up on removing it completely as its going to be covered with the new mats which will prob have to be stuck down
So currently sanding - filling - sanding etc. you know the drill :msn4:

Tried most things including panel wipe ,thinners in the end done the job ,brushed a smallish area first then used a blunt scraper then a green pot scourer then wiped over it with panel wipe to get the last residue off.
