How old were you when you got your earlybay?

Bought this 68 devon in 93. I lived and travelled in it for a year. I was 20. She's gone but not forgotton (no not the wife, i've still got her ).

I was 42 when I got my 71 at sandown last year
Had.my first Late bay when I was in 19 1987
Then after Sliding around in a 3,0 Capri for a while in got another late bay in 1989 kept that one till last year when I got the early.

Mine was my first car AND my daily :mrgreen:

But being stood for a 2 of years then driven every day for 3 has took it's toll on the old thing and it's now cost me alot of money

Worth it in the long run though

Got my first early bay back in 93 i was 19, one owner 70 panel bought out of the local paper for £300 they were the days, straight swapped it a year later for a crusty 69 devon and so it continued!

41 when I got my crossover in '08.
I got my first bay (a late) in '96 (30th birthday present to myself) .
However, the love affair started as far back as c1970, when I would have been only 4, when my dad hired a brand new Dormy for a day.
The affair then blossomed in '72 when my folks bought their bay new, with my first go in the drivers seat being in 1984/5.

Spent my youth in Mk1 & 2 escorts (you seen the price of them lately) followed by a fair few quick cars :evil:

Settled with a family now so bought it for my 40th so the whole family can share my midlife crisis

Maybe next year we'll get to use it and have memories rather than me just left with the scars from me getting burnt welding and stuff :lol: :lol:

I got my current earlbay some 10 years ago, so when i was 27ish had a latebay for some 6 years before that 8)

got mine when I was 18 in '93 as my first car which was also used as daily driver:

happy to say still got her - just turned 36 (me that is, the van is 41!)

and I'm still restoring it!!
Bumpers are on and am working on inside. Hate leaving it on the road...people in cars just can't park properly and even tho I've put some protection on the bumper corners, people still manage to scrape the bumper!!! Grr! Happened the day after I got the bumper back from the paint shop and fitted.

Got my first earlybay aug 2010 but my first vdub in sep 2008 aged 27, it was a £200 T25!
Then an 84' T25, 90' MK1 golf gti, 60' slammed splitscreen panel, 71' earlybay, 59' lowlight ghia, 71' slammed texas earlybay later im HOOKED :lol: 8)
