The lid of my Dormobile coolbox is rotten due to a water leak.

Can anyone advise me on the best way to remove and keep the laminates to apply them to a new piece of marine plywood please?

In great hope,
Thanks!

I haven't actually done this - but in your situation, I would be tempted to try leaving the lid in a bin of water in the hope of causing the plywood to de-laminate and allow me you use a fine steel flexible scraper to work my way down, layer by layer, to the back of the Formica.

I would be interested to know what you decide and the results.

Any joy Wally? Thought of this thread this evening as I ahve just been tidying up my Dormobile interior and polishing scratches out etc..

You can use contact adhesive thinners a bit like this

http://www.toolandfix.com/everbuild-stick-2-contact-adhesive-thinner-and-cleaner-solvent-based.html?utm_source=google_shopping&prod_id=9828&gclid=CjwKEAjwxoG5BRCC7ezlzNmR8HUSJAAre36jC855kS8AUikFZU8LM_yyLJPbpBxj-Way_N2vM9ighRoCMXDw_wcB" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Get it behind the laminate and within a few minutes it'll start to peel off ;)
