Just been in the garage to check mine, unfortunately your way won't work on mine as the wheels are too wide and there's scuffing beyond the seat runners towards the arch.

I've got my own 4" beam with csp discs and T2D reversed spindles, along with Flat 4 sprintstars, tyres are 165/50/15.

I rang slamwerks earlier and was expecting a call back to no avail.

I'll call again tomorrow.

Depending on the cost for some pre-made tubs, I might go for that. Otherwise I'm definitely doing it the same way as 'vwsarentforhippies' on page one.
Just cut out my existing tub and raise it 25-35mm.

Time is my only factor but it needs to be dome before I go to Cornwall in 3 weeks.

I've got 2 days off after bugjam, then the following weekend, then it all depends on work.

I'm gonna get a price off slamwerks for the them to do it too.

^^^^its a good choice they do look the nuts for sure

I really really don't want to commit a cardinal sin by, dare I say it???

No I dare not, anyway, there's a band called 'Florence and the machine' and they sing it

Well, it's a start anyway :)

Just needs a bit of seam sealer top and bottom, then a bit of paint.

Well here's todays effort.
My mate is coming round to evaluate what paint etc will be needed so he can order it from work for me ;)

Done, I'm very happy with my achievements, even if I say so myself :D :D

Just got to notch the rear now, so has anyone got any pics of that?

You just gotta love the guys at SLAMWERKS......

They were mega helpful when discussing my Ghia and unlike SOME certain well known 'specialists' (!!!) their prices are reasonable and the dudes are actually helpful and genuinely interested in getting your requirements down to a tee! (no I'm not on their payroll!) They'll certainly be getting MY custom when I come to slam the Bay in a few months time even though I live absolutely MILES away from them........ you can tell a slamwerks drop a mile off!

But back on topic... some nice workmanship there. I agree that some people tend to go way way over the top when tubbing their buses when really there is only usually such a small extra travel needed so great advice there about removing little by little and only adding what you need.
