A german dude had a load on his stall, various years and some damaged. He had one early proper clock that was a worker and he wanted £120 for that.

my mate was selling a late NOS one for £85 and people was walking away in disgust!

the german guy had dropped his prices by sunday when i asked but wanted 95 4 a working nos one and 55 for a cracked untested one .I think he thought he could milk us brits as westy Frank was selling his for 75 tested

its crazy! just wear a watch

I've got one in my bus and I still need to wear a watch. It gains 5 minutes every day, even after I spent $90 getting it going. I have played around with the adjustment and this is as good as i can get it.
The only thing is if I notice that it is 30 minutes ahead it means I haven't driven me bus for 6 days.
I hate that!

If anyone gets offered a broken one, then have no fear, this guy at http://www.jdo1.com fixes and services them in double quick time for reasonable money.

:D

just what I've been looking for Clem, may be able to sort a non running EB clock that I've just acquired - thanks alot

My first plan was to replace the movement with a later quartz type but keep the original face, which I thought was reasonable, but all the experts here told me it was no go.
So if anyone knows any different please let me know.
With the wonders of the www and postal services I might outsource the wee jobby to the northern hemisphere.
Might be a lot of trouble for 5 minutes a day though.

Some years ago I had this done to a Type 3 clock. http://www.type3detectives.com did the job for around £30GBP. I assume it could also be done with a Type 2 clock? I since changed the Fastback it was in for a Squareback, but swapped the clocks, and it still works today, it runs on one AA battery.
