indicator problem

My indicators have stopped working :?
When i push the stork either up or down the two green lights come on and stay on
but no click from the relay.
Is this gonna be a relay fault?
Is the relay the big ally looking one?
And is this the one that costs a fortune :roll:

Fixed
Took the rely apart and cleaned the connections and contacts up.
But it back on the bus and "hey presto" working indicators

Hello. I'm getting this problem. How in depth is clicking the relay. And what is a relay!!!

Imagine a relay as an electrically operated switch.

unlike a normal switch, which the contacts are closed by you physically moving the switch. in a relay electricity is applied to a coil which closes the contacts. they are used where one signal is required to make sever switch connections, or where a small amount of electricity is used to turn on/off a larger amount.

Hi, with my van i removed the instrument panel and the relay was right there sat on top
of the steering bracket, little black box lookin thing about 1" square

sounds like a relay can you posta pic, on one face there should be a circuit diagram.
