Insurance rant.... Anyone noticed an uplift with Cherished?

Anyone else's insurance gone up?

Been with Cherished for the past 5 years, no claims, and always been around the £180 mark.
Just got a re-quote and its gone up to £285! The only thing changed is I upped the insurance (not guaranteed btw!) value from £12k to £14k to reflect the current market.

When asked about the uplift i got some bullshit excuse about it not being garaged and 12k value is the limit for insuring on the drive, and the uplift is them reflecting this. Told him to base it on 12k then not 14k and he phoned me back and said good news its come down.....to £276! Final offer, take it or leave it. Grrrrrr. :x

Just awaiting a quote from RH. Any others anyone can recommend?

Definitely worth giving Lancasters a call, been with them for last 3 years and so far no increase.

I went from Cherished to Carole Nash, Gaz. All the modifications, increased valuation and European recovery cover for less than last year's Cherished premium.
And it's parked on the drive.

I'm with 2gether insurance been with them about 5 yrs always been competitive

I expect the european cover will go up if the Brexit thing happens also ?
