I would have liked to have had it done to mine but then again when i first got my bus she was very on her last legs. She was on the side of a river and the owners completely let her go. Trouble is i got extremely restless and i just could not let her stay there. I gave the owner 1100 quid and she was mine. Not for the faint hearted as everything needed doing i.e the bottom 30 inches had paper mache all round, all mechanics need something and now years later she is now in good order and i would never be without her. She's not perfect ( i know where the small imperfections are ha) but she's all good. I don't think she would be here now if i didnt come along ha.Would you have the Kahunas to do it ?? Properly committed if you do !! Would love to have had it done![]()
Ahh she will all come together in the end .Is there an update on progress @sparkywig ?I bought a rhd '68 bus last year that was sent for dipping. It came as 5 boxes of parts.
Not on that bus unfortunately.Ahh she will all come together in the end .Is there an update on progress @sparkywig ?
wow - it really was that bad ??
I don't know how much it costs, I bought the remains from the people that had it dipped.wow - it really was that bad ??
That’s what i’d be worried about.
Could I ask how much it cost ?
Oh right. How bad was the bus ? Some good parts there though.
That's all that was left, apart from the beam, engine and gearbox. The body was like a lace curtain, unfortunately they scrapped all the good small parts attached to the shell.Oh right. How bad was the bus ? Some good parts there though.
Ahh right. Thats a shameThat's all that was left, apart from the beam, engine and gearbox. The body was like a lace curtain, unfortunately they scrapped all the good small parts attached to the shell.
but the question is: was it possible to save this bus if it had not been dipped? If it all disappeared, maybe it wasn't structurally sound in the first place me think. That's all that was left, apart from the beam, engine and gearbox.
