Introducing Dora....

Some of you may already seen my wonderful "keeper" but I thought it was time to properly introduce her!

She's a US Spec 1970 Westfalia Oslo with a Dormobile/Martin Walter roof, all original except for the paint and a few bits and bobs...

Bought from Oregon in 2009, she's our pride and joy, a US ebay purchase...

We are the third owners, she has a FULL service history complete to date and has done 118000 miles.

Bought under the tourist scheme by an American serviceman based in Italy in 1970, collected from a German dealership....

Used for 2 years in Europe, including a few visits to the UK!!!

Then exported to Washington state, where she lived with the first owner until 2001, then sold to a Peach farmer in Oregon, who used it once or twice. Then it was posted on Ebay.com....8 years later.

We bought it, and could not believe it when she arrived.... completely rust free, nothing...anywhere.

We used her, and enjoyed her for the first year - this pic is at Stonor this year...

She's had a top quality full repaint and Dora is now our Demo van, as we have recently set up Busaholics.com - Oxfordshires latest VW Camper sales specialist

what a beaut! wow - she's been round the block,and she looks great for it. good choice moving away from that metallic paint as well what's the engine bay like - as mint as the rest?

Thanks for your comments! The engine is nice and clean, including a lovely Eberspacher heater, but the plan is to pull the engine around January/Feb and give it a big makeover, won't do anything internal as she's as sweet as a nut, but might replace a few bits and spruce up the tinware etc...

You don't see many of those Westys with the Martin Walter roof.
I know there is one other here on EB, possibly two at most?

I'm glad she's back in her original colour too!
