Keeping the inside of the bus cool in hot weather

what about a swamp cooler? they work by evaporating cold water and are in keeping with th age of the bus,

if its that hot a little moisture will soon be gone surely

Yeah I'd definitely give a swamp cooler a try and really not worried about moisture in this weather, would only be using it in 30+ temperatures and it's a crazy desert-like heat so reckon it would be fine. Just haven't really seen any decent ones around but am keeping my eye open.

I got one. They are great unless your the passenger, you get out after a trip looking youve have had a stroke by the cold air blasting your face :lol:

haha would this keep the back somewhat cooler then too? I've never really got how they work but now I'm intrigued :D What kind have you got, the old-fashioned tube things (I think they're thermador) that fit onto the window?
 
Well thanks to George, I'm having a crack at getting an air-con up and running, might be a waste of time but worth a go. Hopefully will be able to get help from a specialist (but no idea who yet). Will report back when I'm home and have picked it up.
