I've just been sounding off on the samba about the poor quality of pattern front ends, and was told by the guy from Klassicfab that they are planning to start making complete earlybay front ends once the dies are sorted out. They have just started producing lower windscreen panels that drop below the waistline bulge, and they are looking pretty good. I'd be interested to see how the fit of the complete fronts compares to the brazilian jobbies.

loooong over due! if they get it right those crappy IGP ones will be even more worthless. good news bottom rung - thanks for sharing.

The lower screen repairs are literally hot off the press, so I don't know if any have made their way over here yet. There are two UK agents; Musclebus (who specialise in split panels) and VW Heritage. I don't know if VWH are listing them yet but I suppose you could give them a try. Or deal with Klassicfab direct and see what the score is. Won't be cheap mind; but at least it will fit. Here's a link to the thread on the samba: http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=218742&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=280" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The other thing I'm waiting for is replacement sliding doors for RHD buses. At about £600 for a secondhand import door, it's a little out of my price range :cry:
