Thought you might be interested to know that Laurie Pettitt is publishing a Haynes manual on inspecting and rebuilding VW engines. It is released in The summer and on pre-order at Amazon ( tax dodgers ).

I'll buy mine locally though.

This book should definately be worth buying for anyone who's attempting an engine rebuild
and will probably rank up there with the holy trinity (muir, bentley & haynes) when it come to
reference.

well done mucky green!

I've been using "How to Rebuild Your Volkswagen Air-Cooled Engine" by Tom Wilson. Lots of good stuff in it, here's the Amazon link-

I've also just pre-ordered the Haynes book. You can never have enough VW books! :D
