Put the interior back in its so cold and noisy driving around like this!
coldbruks014.jpg

At the moment 5 things to do
1 Change oil
2 Refit side step
3 Wash and polish
4 Drive :D :D
5 Hope nothing breaks

All this at the same time as sorting the beetle for the missus to use as a daily!!!!!!!

All i can think of at the mo:

Weld the small hole in the battery tray and n/s cill
Underseal and paint underside of the van body colour
Redo temp repair on front panel
Wire in front spots and tacho
Notch the rear slightly
Start collecting parts to build a stonkin engine
To be continued......

So, I was thinking today while "working" that while I'm away from the bus my to-do list is growing longer and longer - even though its "finished".

I then remembered this thread...can't believe it was back in 2010.

So the inevitable question is, who managed to finish their list.

More importantly, what is on your list now?

So off the top of my head...when I return to the UK next year by list is:

Fit red9design front end
Fit new 65L aluminium fuel tank.
Upgrade Porsche 911 SC engine with 3.2L Carrera induction and Megaquirt fully sequential Fuel injection (currently being built up over here.
fix oil temp sender/gauge
fix fuel sender
fit ambulance fans
fit locking gene berg
sleeve exhaust manifolds to create custom heat exchangers with type 4 booster fan
secure dormobile under seat table stowage
strip doors clean window winder mechanism
line the doors with plastic
rebuild/replace indicator
buy roof rack ad detail
vintage cooler to match van
rear seatbelts
secure jack
lighten my dormobile rear storage cushion - maybe gas strut...
fit engine bay fire extinguisher
buy an awning
shorten/modify engine bay harness for new ECU
carbon fibre custom dash and possibly my engine tin...

this list will only get longer the longer I'm away from the bus :)

p.s. rebuild locks as they are stiff...could be door mechanism rather than handles though,...

I don't think they're ever truly finished, had mine for 10 years plus and the list doesn't seem to get any shorter. A bit like painting the Forth road bridge. You finally get to one end and you have to return back to the beginning and start all over again

Mines just
Pass MOT
Repairs as they crop up
And the main one .. Have fun :)
