Just wondering what you all think my problem could be. I connected the old speedo cable and check the front hub, there was no circlip so i fitted one. Went for a test drive and i was just spinning round and round. Took off the hub again and the cable had snapped. Fitted a new cable today with new rubber grommit and circlip. Went for a drive and it was still spinning around. Do you think it's the speedo itself thats broken?
I've disconnected it for the time being as dont want to brake another cable.

what do you mean its spinning around?????

whats spinning around? as its impossible for the needle to spin around 360 degrees

The pin just goes round and round. By your reply im guessing if it's doing that its screwed?

theres a needle stop on the clock which should stop it from doing 360 and then theres a spring on the shaft that returns it when the forward momentum drops...

Yer this is whats not happening, i fitted a new cable this morning as that was snapped. New speedo it is then?
