Locking your tailgate ajar

I'm looking to find a piece that allows me to lock the tailgate of my 71 slightly ajar for some ventilation when camping in there.
I can find them for T4s and T5s but not for Bays.
Anyone know if they are available?
I've had a look on Google but can't find anything

I think BUSOK had some but only for 'Lates'

Are they available, or even possible, for Earlies?

Never seen one for earlies and don't know enough to say if feasible to make.

Fair enough. I may investi-me-gate, could be something we need that we've not realised until now!

I went through this about 10 years ago. It won't work on bays as the latch plate is a pin type, so there's nothing to secure a catch to.



T4's onward have a latch loop plate.

Looked at mine last night, def not a pin, I've got a 'cap' at the top of mine.
Being a 71 perhaps it's a later type?
