Looking for PAM!

I'm trying to track down my Dad's old Beetle, which was a 'Big' Beetle. PAM 244M

He owned it probably from 1978 - 1983, this picture is from 1979! It is declared SORN, and when I checked the DVLA site before SORN become perpetual again, it was last updated SORN in November 2013 - so someone has been making the effort to update the DVLA annually (info below).
