lost reverse gear rod size?

we got it when I lay under the van and pulled the front section fully forward. tighten the bolts fully up. turned the van around, yesterday when we went out for a drive we went to reverse in to the drive and nothing again.

after speaking many people one said swap the gear box the other said it will be the front bar that's not the correct length as he had the same issue, after he dropped the front axle and did not disconnect the front bar. could any one tell me the size of the front part of the shifter?

we have a adjustable front beam, but riding normal height, but this has meant the front bit has been flatted in the bit to miss the adjusters.
new bush fitted at the front end. and new rear joint fitted.

empi shifter I have tried many adjusting of this with no luck. ( it is how I last got the it to work) I cannot see it catching on anything. we have also got the stock shifter which does the same.

could any one tell me the size of the front part of the shifter?
