Lowered rear shocks .. help..🫣

Final push to get my Bay back on the road for RTTS and struggling to find lowered rear shocks anywhere.

I've got a static measurement between the mountings of 350 and everything I see with the correct stroke lists rear split and beetle but nothing for the bay rear..

What's everyone else running?

If it has the same size mounting bushes, then the split ones will fit.

Sorted it thank you.. had a pair of standard beetle shocks in the shed that were perfect..

You may end up with a bad ride, a bus is a lot heavier and needs firmer shocks to control the bounce.

Yup.. I'll seek some stiffer ones out ASAP.. but at least it gets it drivable for now...

Got to agree, the bug shocks will probably be too weak to do much.
My rear measurements weren't far off.
Jk and the other usual suspects sell fairly heavy duty KYB gas-a-just and GR2's with varying strokes. You need to measure top and bottom of travel limits to find something suitable.

If i had the money i would go for the bilsteins that sparkywig posted.
Unless you are using a fancy heavy duty coilover, try this to get your sizes.
Measure min and max stroke. ie: on the bump stops and opposite, so resting on the spring plate notches.
Your shocks need to be able to compress shorter and extend longer than the min and max.
This is to avoid bottoming out and breaking the bolts or mounts and overextension which can damage the shock internally or literally pull the rods out of the body.
It happened to me on an old marina back in the day, didn't see the speed hump at 40mph!
