so let me get this right

someone - unscrewed your reversing light and removed the seal - and then screwed it back on.

That is unreal - what is worse is it will be a EB owner....so one of our own. I guess you always get a few bad apples, and as the group expands the number increases. The thing is it's a £5 bit...

Definately not a spoof thread and it happened whilst it was parked on the road directly outside my house! - 10ft from my front door!

Once came out of my house to find that someone had nicked the back window out my 15 yr old cavalier, wish they'd taken the whole thing... still all scum though.

But nicking a seal is ridiculous

Yeah it's beyond me..... Nobody I know would stoop this low even as a piss take.
I can only think it was totally pre-meditated and probably in the dead of night.
Obviously an EB owner - maybe they refitted the light/fittings on a guilty conscience.

..... to me it looks like there hasnt been one on there for years.
If the indi seal was anything like the main rear light lense one surely if it were removed and just the lense and chrome were fitted there would be marks on the paint indicating where the rubber was? It would leave marks as it protrudes a few mm from the outer edge of the chrome trim.
Also no finger prints on the dirty chrome.
The screws dont have marks in to indicate there has been a screwdriver near them.
And SURELY sead fellon would have taken the lense also?

I get your point Rich.......no offence taken but its always been there - yes they (the screws) do look like they haven't been touched in a while (spring-time was the last time I had them off)
I noticed it was upside down before the seal was missing then realised.......WTF

The re-fitting of the unit is bloody weird though......you get some strange types down here....

It's beyond me.....
