Having made great use of the westy over the past few weekends it was time to pass it over to the wife's daughter and husband and their 3 young boys to have a week away in Dorset. I know potentially risky, but it's one of the reasons we bought a westy to start with so we could all use it. So with the westy trailer on its first outing as well they set off on Monday morning

She has been running great but sods law kicks in and I get a call at work saying they were really worried about a noise underneath that appeared to be getting worse. Asked them to do a visual check on the obvious, nothing could be found. Suggested they popped round to Kombi Klassics in Wareham to be safe rather than sorry. They were great, took the westy out for a test drive and put it up on the ramps but couldn't find anything wrong and lo and behold the noise stopped. Conclusion was that something could have been trapped underneath and had now managed to get loose

They offered to pay something for their time and help but refused - so I think they deserve another mention on here. Their reputation as one of the vw good guys is well deserved, helped put my mind at rest and the kids have been able to carry on enjoying their holiday

Quality indeed 8) great to hear such good reports on who we can trust with our Earlybays

Its the area around there they are sooo friendly.
I broke down just outside of wool on the big green roundabout. I mean i had to pull up onto the roundabout to stop. While on the phone to my mate for advice a car had pulled up and said dont worry he would ring his mate and sort me out, before i knew it i was hitched up towed to a quiet road so i could jack the van up drivers drives shaft came off.( i wont go into that), 1 bolt bent and 1 broke the man popped home and made me a new bolt came back i fitted it, 45 mins later i was off. Offered to buy them a drink and he got quite upset that i offered him anything.
Told it to the farmer where we were staying and he was not supprised about it, he is quite new there and he said everybody is great around that area.

Didnt know that Kombi Klassics in Wareham were there, handy to know we try and get down there once a month, going again tomorrow. :D
