Well I've been off to Cornwall for the day yesterday and come back with a two litre type four and a six rib box. I'm not really sure why I bought it so what to do now? :roll: Needs heat exchangers and it should be good to go.

Yes, two different heat exchangers for type 4 motors. Up to July 1978 and August 1978 on.
I thought Type 3 heat exchangers were expensive, and then I just looked at Type 4 ones. :lol:

Its the 1700/1800 engine vs. the 2000 engine that differ, I think. Its the way the copper exhaust gaskets mount/fit but I can't remember exactly.

Yes, we has a pair of lovely solex carbs and the original type air filter that goes with them. I`ve just found these heat exchangers at a well known supplier for twenty quid each so that`s not too bad is it.
