This looks amazing! Always said I wouldn't have a double cab but something like this would sway me - the sign writing is absolutely killer.

Also - I might have to bend your ear about paint work as mine is basically the same as your old sierra yellow one and may need some of the same treatment! (It also came from the same place!)

Yeah no worries, I can tell you how I did it, but the problem with spraying cars on the internet is EVERYONE knows a better way

I remember seeing your bus before you got it, I think I was working up there at the time?? :?
Possibly???

Anyway If I can help you out I will !! :D

Steve did a bit of work on it for me before it came down to Leeds - It's clearly had some ropey US repairs in the past and I'd like to clean them up and blend in some paint! Do you use a local supplier for paint? I've not got anyone local who is entirely confident they can match the colour!

I'll drop you a PM at some point if that's ok?

If you think you'll get it done keep it!!!!!
But if you're not likely to get round to it move it on, get one later on down the line????
If I had more than 3 at a push 4 motors including the dailys, the stress would kill me!!!
I know people with 20 motors, all over the place half done renting massive garages etc!!!!
My head would pop off :suicide:

Anyhow!!!!!
Plans for my 1 project car are,

Welding ;
Cab floor
Both sills
Bit of the load bed &
Air filter bracket back on.

I'm tempted to get a litte mig with those little bottles & do it myself???
But for speed it'd be easier to get it done off a mate.

Mechanically;
It seems canny, just a check over of stuff hopefully & source & fit the oil bath air filter again.

Paint;
Local in the welded bits, possibly clearcoat the whole thing???
Schultz underneath & waxoyl ??!!!

Eventually I'd like a canopy on the back & a towbar for a retro caravan.
One day , lower it??? :?

Be nice if it's registered by this summer!! 8)
But no worries if it's not, I sort of skinted meself getting it!!!
So no spare dosh to throw at it straight away!!!

With this killer sign writing I would blend only the welded areas. In my option definitely no clear coat! Are you going to the Volksworld-Show Lee?
Looking forward to see your crew cap on the street! :)
Cheers
Reto

No VoWo show for me this year, maybe next year???
I like to clearcoat them so the water beads up & runs off!!!
I think it offers a bit more protection???
You can treat it like a new paint job maintainece wise, washing & polishing when you like, without worrying about the locals cutting back!!!
I've done 3 like this now, all still looking good 8) !!
Maybe I'd be spoiling it??? I don't know?? :?

i think im going to get my mate to start mine and sell the 56 Oval

Whoa!!! There!!!!!
I've not just made you sell your oval , have I????

Don't hold your breath for this being finished any time soon I've had 10 days off over Crimbo, so I'll need fully retraining next week!!!!! :50:
Then it'll probably take 10 weeks to rebuild my business!!! :sad0049:
Then I've been hit with the , we need a new bathroom & kitchen bombshell :anim_39: :sign0023:
Wish me luck!!

Well the front panel has been painted before, badly!
So I'll need to put that a bit better!!
Also the sign writing has been redone at some point so, it's it like triggers brush!!!!
I'm sure I'll get it looking just the way I want it!!!!

Sounds like this one gives you that warm and fuzzy feeling that you were missing 8)

I'm not jealous at all :msn4:

Yeah last one just bugged me!!!
It's the main reason I'm after going back to work actually  !!!

I got a couple of hours to start cleaning the cab out this afternoon, was going well till Henry Hoover blew up!!!
I found a few holes in the cargo floor, amongst other places!!

I removed the fire wall type things under the rear seat, the petrol tank, which sits on the cargo floor where the rear seat would be in a camper, will have to come out through here !!!

Under the front seats looks class mind!!!

Heated seats, honestly!!!

Reet that's the boring pics out the way, now the cool ones!!

Tbh Lee, after seeing it in the flesh yesterday, I don't think it's right for you. Can I have it please.
