Been buzzy this weekend, as Im back to work next week! (Boo!)

Idea was to replace the shagged manifold and the Bocar carb and replace with a Solex.....
Ended up being not that straight forward!

Zorst off, new gaskets ordered as old ones fell to bits.

Gearbox housing was full of transmission fluid and metal shavings! Clutch release bearing fell to bits in my hand.
Clutch release fork had been welded and bodged badly!

Seal was also shagged!

Stripped engine down to remove manifold. Found the hole that was causing the running issue!

Carbs like new really!

Getting dark so blasted the crap out of the housing then had a beer!

After chatting to StuF bout things I decided to purchase a full Machine7 Clutch Bundle kit as needed the bearing and other bits (Fork seals etc)
Also decided to change transmission fluid, engine oil too. (Cheers for your help Stu and Shaun.)

Couldn't undo this **** of a bolt so moved on....

Got the fork out and cleaned housing.

Struggled with this... so asked the question and got the help I needed! 8)

Replaced all fuel lines.

Fitted manifold and carb.

Had a bit of a wire tidy up.

Now just waiting for bits to arrive next week from Heritage and M7.

Happy with the progress I made, but couldn't have done it with out you guys.... So thank you. 8)

Paul.

Friday after work I set to work refitting the V.S Zorst....

Wasn't a good start as the Gasket kit was wrong!
Quick call to Alex at Heritage and I had the correct one Sat morning! 8) (Top man is Alex!)

New Clutch kit

Then on to the Realise fork and bearing....

With the help of my manual and Youtube! 8)

Bearing clips with the only thing that was fiddley.

Zorst back on.

.............

Gearbox oil changed thanks to a bit of help with his home made tool and a few extension bars!!

Idea was to get leverage off the floor... (Worked a treat).

Old gearbox oil was dread!

All back together.
Now need to get clutch cable adjusted and carb set up. 8)

Nice work mate - always a good feeling, when it goes back in.

:D all ready for Spa? :msn4:

Front end up...
Got myself a grease gun and done the three nipples on the front beam..... are there any more to do while its up?
Need to adjust the clutch cable as its way to high!..... nearly shot off the ramps.... 'FallGuy stylee!' 8)

Nice to do it myself... must have save a packet as the last major service they had my pants down!

There should be more than that, one either end of the tubes and the steering idler. Did you pump enough grease in to replace the old stuff?
You count the number of pumps on the grease gun to when the old grease starts to come out of the seals, and then do the same number again to replace with new grease.
Put loads of newspaper down first.
