Evening all, 8)

I've got a wagens west beam on the bus which I believe is only narrowed by an inch or so, is it possible to modify it easily to be 4 inch narrow or there abouts? It looks like this beam

Could I just cut the end bits of the tube closer to the end plates ? Must be 2 inch per side there...

Does it have roller bearings in the end? if yes then it will be very difficult as the end has has a recess for the bearing to fit. If no then you can tap the bushes in then cut the ends, there are 2 bushes each side so you should tap them all in.

Got ya! That explains why I've seen some pics of people cutting the middle. If that's the cAse would have to remove the end plates and do it that way, not a simple job!

You could but you'll have to remove the bearings and the inner bush. Then fit a set of these :)

Ahhhh you mean chop the tubes right down and slip them in, sounds like an idea!
