I need to do my wheels soon & will be keeping the stock look, wide fives on a 69. I've budgeted for wheels to be powder coated so condition not that important.
I have stock 14's at the mo, do I get them done or is it worth the hassle finding 15 inch splitty wheels instead?

any benefits / draw backs to going up t 15" ???

grazy has split 15`s on his bus hopefully he see this and give you some pointers...i also just happen to have a set of 15`s for sale

No problem as i run 15" stock wheels, but if keeping stock height & tyres you won't benefit in anyway. I went the 15" route so i could change tyre sizes without effecting any gear ratios.

was just thinking maybe it would cruise slightly more comfortably with the bigger wheels?

yes, but you'll notice it more sluggish when the engine has to pull uphill etc.

Bloody dead right.
I't felt like I could get out and walk faster the other day going up a fairly steep hill.
