Thanks again guys, it's great getting these positive comments....makes me think that i am not that insane!
Yep belly pans came off so the underside could be blasted. once all the metalwork is complete i am going to make some perspex pans to all fluid dispersal system will be visible.
Roof wise, he had a dormobile roof which i then ditched for a tin top roof. I now want a steel sliding sunroof and the tin top wasnt great so i have a steel slider on it's way from California
Things got a little crazy with the track rods yesterday.... so i am making some fornt chassis rail notches that work on the same principle as the rear notches. A normal notch wont cut the mustard due to the extent of the movement on the suspension.
This is version 1......version 2 on it's way
Mr Ray of Rayvern Hydraulics will be popping down soon to lend a hand on the rear end then we can get some up and down movement
I am very excited about this project....although i still have some big(ish) issues to overcome
1)chopping up the fuel tank to clear my new chassis rails
2)Moving the fuel filler and routing it
3) Engine and tranny raise (I may go the same route as you Mycha or possible T25 side shift box and cable shift)
4) Huge front tubs including tubbing the front doors and inevitably modifying the window winder set up too
Other than that i am hoping it should all be pretty straight forward
