Just checked, I started looking July '09 :D
Sold my Karmann Ghia
In September revised my budget up to £10K :)
Travelled 100's miles, no good
then thought I'd cracked it locally -but no :(
Set myself an end date (31/12/09) -all over :?
Can'tr afford a really decent Bay and.........
Missing my air-cooled fix so now spending just 40%
of my budget on a '68 / 1500 fully made-over Beetle

But luv this site so will keep reading , all the best -JIM.

glad you finally got on Jim, sorry about the hassles and not finding a decent bay, we have alot of trustworthy traders who are also longtime members a call to any of them probably could have got you something really decent for that kind of money.

Surprised you couldnt find something nice for around 10k.
Ok you wont get a mint westy for that but theres some nice busses including US imports around for that kind of money.

Type of van .none

at least your honest.... :D

I waited 10 years for the right singlecab..... 8)

Thanks chap's ,
My downfall was RHD (for her indoors), it seriously narrows the field,
and "budget" to me means total spend - not you can get a good one for £10K
and then spend £5K on it.................. :msn4:

Test drive and negotiation on the Beetle tomorrow so don't want to go
public yet , but will post pic in due course - if I can fathom how :? , it's
well nice (understated in Lotus White but 2 x 40mm chrome pipes 8) .

Cheers -JIM.

OOOH YESSSSS - she is now mine :D , think I'll change
my call sign to Triple 5F (Reg No --- 555F) ...JIM.
