New Forest Dub Club - New Forest / Southampton

Anyone interested in taking their dub out in the new forest ?

We have recently formed the 'New Forest Dub Club'. We're just a group of Vee Dub enthusiasts meeting on the first Sunday of the month for a cruise and bite to eat/chin wag. So far we've been meeting in Lyndhurst and then travelling to various forest pubs. In the summer we intend to arrange bbq's/picnics. Camping Weekends, events etc planned for the future.

You can come along without your van, a few people have got vans off the road at the mo.

Hollands Wood or Long Meadow in Brockenhurst are both good and only a short walk from a trio of pubs, I'd probably pick Long Meadow as it's a bit further away from the main road if a bit further away from the pub! Or for somewhere a bit more out of the way you could try Ocknell which isn't near much of anything but there is a pub a short walk away.

I like Ocknell, it's really quiet (and cheap), it's good for a weekend if you can cope without showers for a few days. We're meeting up at Ower Services (Jcn 2 M27), this Sunday @ 11.00am, and then heading through the forest to the High Corner Inn at Fritham.

The forecast is good, so if anyone fancies a drive through the new forest in the sunshine this weekend, come along.

I was looking at the hill cottage farm campsite the other day. Handy having the rally field so we could camp in a group, maybe something to look into as we're planning a few camping trips this summer.
