Im in the process of getting my MG back on the road after a 12 yr lay up in the garage. The thing fires up and runs :D.
A simple question is will it fail the mot with a small spilt in the steering rack gaiters.

Trying to fit new rear wheel cyls. bit of a pigs orphan :evil: to fit the clip, will try again tomorrow

Nice car!!

I think your gaiters would only fail if the split was causing grease or oil to leak - if that's the case then I'd be tempted to clean it up and try some sort of solvent glue (the type that 'welds' the two halves together) - give your local MOT station a call and ask their opinion - most are happy to help!

Good luck getting it back on the road - it looks like a beauty!! 8)
