I see quite a few bays on ebay etc which are not advertised as 'devons, westys'. After questioning, it appears that these buses appear to have been converted manually (ie someone has stuck a pop top in and added a few cupboards+rr bed etc). Should these be avoided? Obviously the craftsmenship will be questionable... I assume reasale value much lower too.

I am still trying to find a Devon bay for approx £4.5k.. It's a minefield!

Thanks

its really up to you to be honest, although i would say they are generaly less desirable, although there are some good home brew conversions arround.

if you want a devon but cant find one, you could have the conversion copied using new material. The bits you need like sink and pump are more easily found, its another option.

If you want a devon wait for one, rather than a refit. I think there are insurance problems if it is not a prefessional conversion.
