What a great weekend. The weather stayed mainly dry and mild at night due to cloud cover, the Emperials on Saturday night where bloody great and the trip to the Cider farm was definitly to be repeated (more to come on that one)
Loads for the kids to do and everyone seemed to be having a good time. Would definitly recommend this event if you like the laid back style of these sort of less corporate type shows. More VW family camping than big displays and massive auto jumble/traders area.
Had a quick look around the Show and Shine which was always meant to be a laid back type of thing rather than a concours event. Did hear some media junkies complaining that it was just aload of cars in a dusty car park (did see them arrive and it looks like they came just for the gongs). Never mind they wont have to wait long till the Volksworld Show for some hardcore back patting.
Got loads of miles in on the monkey bike always with at least one child hanging on sometimes two. Wish id taken the BMX as the track looked great, but racing on tarmac would have been a first.
Nice to meet up with some Earlybayers and put faces to names. (sparkywig, wrongplates and robins)
Pictures to follow.
