Hi everyone, Another strange request from me, Could someone please measure how far away the rear bumper is mounted from the bodywork when a westy towbar is fitted (directly above the iron if possible). This is so I can knock up some brackets for my crosser.

Thanks in advance.

Regards, Si

Are you sure its a westy towbar? A lot of crossovers seem to have came with a factory fitted towbar with one of mounts that act as both bumper iron and towbar mount

Hi Nugsy, I haven't got a towbar yet but am trying to fab one in the style of a Westy one. I also haven't got a bumper  , that's why I need to know how far back the bumper sits from the body

 Thanks, that is the measurement I already have  Anyone help please?

but then surely thats your answer?

the bumper sits no further back than a bus bumper without a towbar so the measurement you already have is the same.

The towbar sat up and behind the bumper without moving it, the irons were swapped for the ones that came with the towbar

Still for sale at £100 for mounts (inc bumper) towbar and ball hitch etc

Its from a crossover and sits inside the bumper, also you can drill 4 holes in the bumper so the hitch is removable :msn4:

Hi Nugsy, Great looking towbar. Unfortunately I have fitted an early engine lid and removable valence so the corner bodywork sits a little lower than a crosser. Your towbar is something similar to what I will make although the bumper will come off when the bar is removed and the hook will be removable as a seperate piece. Still need the measurement if anyone has a tape handy though!

Regards, Si
