Off Topic - Mexican Beetle

Has anyone had experience of a Mexican Beetle? Quality, performance, rustproofing, etc ... ?

They are meant to be ok, in general, much depends on the life they have lived since import (of course) and what rustproofing was applied from new.

Some of the RHD conversions that were carried out are known to be a bit dodgy and the fuel injection and cat exhaust systems are new hurdles to deal with, but they shouldnt be avoided outright.
